TESTIMONIALS

Will SIMMONS

20 years ago, David took me in as my first hip-hop teacher ever, and because of him, I'm here today living my dreams. So much gratitude to Mr. David!

We discovered RNDZVS The Studio late in the summer of 2022 and our daughter took her first class then. A couple of weeks later, she took her first class that included a video and she was hooked! She continued taking weekend classes for the better part of the next year and then she decided it was time to audition for the youth K-pop cover team, Charizma, and the youth hip hop team, Arize. She loves the community that KDD has built and loves dancing with everyone. She made both teams and began her first season with K-pop Dance Dallas and the Z Dynasty Teams. She has made so many close friends since being on teams. The coaches have challenged her and poured into her and have further cultivated her love for K-pop and hip hop dancing. She looks forward to attending cover classes and choreo classes, along with her team practices. Toward the end of the 2024 season, a new contemporary team, Illuzion, was formed, and my daughter decided to join the team. She loves it! She has learned new skills and improved on others and continues to be challenged. I cannot say enough about the fantastic K-pop community that has formed at KDD. Children and adults dance together and bond over their mutual love of K-pop and dance, in general. Our daughter has created bonds with so many dancers of all ages that have helped shape her into the dancer she has become. She has grown so much with the help of her coaches and teammates. We are looking forward to summer dance classes, to next season, and to all the opportunities KDD continues to provide.

Watching my 11-year-old son, Jin, grow as a dancer with ZDynasty Dance Company has been an incredible journey. From the moment he joined, we saw a transformation, not just in his technique, but in his confidence, discipline, and love for dance. The instructors are passionate, skilled, and deeply committed to each dancer’s development, creating a space where kids are challenged but also supported every step of the way.

ZDynesty has become more than just a dance company for our family, it’s a second home. The sense of community, encouragement, and positivity is unmatched. My son looks forward to every practice, performance, and competition, and it’s amazing to see him shine on stage with such pride and joy.

We’re so thankful to be part of the ZDynasty family, and I couldn’t recommend this program more highly for any young or older dancer looking to grow not only in skill but in character.

My daughter's experience with Z Dynasty has always been positive. I love how supportive everyone is, and there are always amazing opportunities for all the dancers. It’s a great place to grow and be part of a true dance family.

I have some previous dance experience and was on my university dance team, but this was an entirely new environment for me. It was a challenge, but I LOVED IT!

After just a couple of months, I am picking up choreography much faster and retaining it, which is something I’ve always struggled with. Everyone at the studio and the KDD community is extremely supportive, eager to learn and improve, and ready to hype you up! I don’t feel awkward if I mess up, and the choreographers always review the choreo if anyone is stuck. There’s nothing like being surrounded by people that all have the same passion you do. I find myself just smiling, laughing, and speaking with other dancers even when I don’t know anyone in the class.

KDD has helped me grow so much as a dancer. And, yes, dance is my passion, but it’s honestly so… much bigger than dance. The opportunities are amazing with chances to audition for major Korean music companies, go to concerts, and make new friends! KDD is exactly the community that I’ve been searching for. Even though I’m away from my hometown, I feel at home.

Thank you so much!

Let me be the first to say, I’m not a dancer, or at least I wasn’t. I also never thought that I had it in me either. Which is a little strange, considering that I come from a musical background. I played music almost entirely throughout grade school. You name the instrument and I probably played it at some point. So you would think that someone who could play music would be able to dance to it too, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case for me.

I actually procrastinated my decision to join classes because of this. I thought I would be too embarrassed to learn how to dance in front of a bunch of strangers. I’m glad I was so wrong.

Everyone at the studio, from staff to other participants, were so kind and encouraging that after my first class I couldn't wait to take more. As far as my dancing skill…I realized that I might have been worrying over nothing. I was surprised to see how easy it was to pick up the choreography. Granted, I was in the beginners class at first, but even when I took an intermediate/advanced class, I was still able to pick up the dance with relative ease.

The instructors do a really good job of tailoring the lessons for each skill level, as well as breaking up the dance into easily learn-able, “bite-sized”, bits. They are also really great about helping those who might be having a little more trouble learning a specific move.

Overall I really enjoy going to class and the time I spend at the studio. It has a great atmosphere and even better people. So if you’re on the fence about coming out to one of the classes, I hope reading this gives you the tiny, little nudge you need to take a chance and attend a class.

Joining Z Dynasty as a member of Idolize has been one of the best experiences for me. I started listening to kpop when I was 12 years old and I have been searching for a K-pop community for a while…up until I came across KPop Dance Dallas online.

I did not have much experience dancing and only danced for fun while playing Just Dance or filming TikToks. I was absolutely terrified to go to my first workshop by myself, but there was nothing to worry about! I was welcomed into such a nice environment where I could enjoy dancing to K-pop without a care in the world.

After auditioning and joining Idolize, I have had the opportunity to meet amazing dancers, create new friendships, and most importantly, grow as a dancer. Through the help of KDD classes and team rehearsals, I have improved my skills and gained more confidence. Joining Z Dynasty has been a huge milestone for me and I can’t wait for the next season!

I always admired my middle brother, Emil, he was the best dancer I had ever seen. I would watch him practice new tricks, teach choreography, and show off in front of a crowd. I wanted to be like him, shining, spinning about, and watching all the smiling faces blur into one.

I attempted to learn more dances throughout my childhood whether it was from Bust A Groove on Playstation or MTV. Dance was something my body yearned for (although it maybe my hispanic genes too). Later in my teen years, my oldest brother, Carlos, showed me music videos of Lee Jung-Hyun, and after that, my love for KPop only grew. It was fun learning new KPop dances on YouTube, but it was difficult learning from someone inside a screen.

My best friend, Amulet, knew how much I enjoyed dance and recommended we go to KPop Dance Dallas. I’ve never been in a studio, so everything was new, and I was so ecstatic to hear my instructors were on Team Millennia from America’s Best Dance Crew because they too were a group I had seen inside the screen, but now they were both in front of me. I continued to come in for additional practices and what made it even better was the video sessions. The video sessions are the best reward because it’s something I can always look back on and see how much I’ve improved from the classes. Without the help of David and Chantha, I don’t believe I would have made it onto my first dance team, IzaVibe. My experience of coming to KPop Dance Dallas will continue to open more opportunities for me in the future, and I look forward to how much I continue to improve with their help.

I'm the kind of person that does not open up easily, especially in unfamiliar circumstances. I've been dancing on and off since I was young, but was constantly frustrated with formal training and the way a lot of teachers taught choreography. I learn differently due to being dyslexic. No, dyslexia is NOT just a reading problem. It's a complete learning disability that affects people differently. For me, it's the learning and comprehensive parts that really make it hard for me to understand new things. I have to commit wholeheartedly and work on it outside the initial process. Why am I going into all this detail? I'll get there, I promise.

Anyway, back to dance. When I was younger I didn't understand my learning disability so I actually had a REALLY hard time grasping choreography. Thinking I was just a “terrible dancer” I would eventually quit time and time again. As an adult, I now fully embrace all my quirks and know that it will just take longer for me. Kpop Dance Dallas has really made it fun to learn choreography! The instructors are extremely encouraging and actually care about you. As someone who actually performs for a living, (Voice/Film/Stage Acting) I knew I wanted to keep adding art forms to my repertoire. The dances are fun and I love the video classes because they act like a "mini recital" where you actually get to see yourself dance and follow your progress. I don't plan on giving up dance anytime soon!!

Mei-lee and Milan C.

Mei-lee and Milan have participated in several sports and after school activities, but never had an experience quite like Z Dynasty.

Chantha and David have established a program that encourages young children and adults to challenge both their bodies and minds to new heights each time they step into the studio. They have grown a community of creative, kind performers taught by skilled and patient instructors that embrace all genders, races, shape, size or age of student looking to learn and grow their skills. We love being a part of Z Dynasty!
